Wanted to ask, what is the planning for our assessments next week?
Do we start at 11:00 like usual? Should we pick time slots for ourselves?
And is there anything we should prepare differently this time, compared to
last time?
This is going to be quite similar to last time, yes, I was planning to
let you know on Tuesday, but I can do that now:
- Like for PG/AA special issue, your task on Wednesday is to present
OuNuPo on your own, no staff/tutors involved. Listening to the
audio recording of varia, it is clear that you already have a solid
basis. We will fine tune things on Tuesday.
- On Thursday, Michael, Steve and myself will form a small group to have a
discussion with you on an individual basis. You're expected to give us
a short presentation of your contribution. Because we will have seen the
presentation on Wednesday, the Thursday presentation should focus
instead on the conceptual thinking behind your contribution, the
software you wrote, the text selection, and how these aspects are
informing your practice and writing, possibly pointing to new interests
to be explored further.
- The way you should present is up to you. However, I strongly suggest
that you do not waste time making yet another presentation with new
material, but instead use and make use of all the online documentation,
wiki pages, files, repositories, etc, you've been busy with. To
reiterate, Wednesday is for the presentations, and Thursday we want to
engage with your practice, writing, workflow, and research material and
thinking that is surrounding the project. Just make sure this does not
take more than 15 minutes so we have time to discuss as well.
- Generally speaking, we will evaluate the collective effort and OuNuPo
as a whole, but this time we will put the emphasis on your own work
and own research.

Pick a slot!
If you have questions, I'm in tomorrow, with the XPUB2 assessment but
you can catch me at 11:00 if needed!
