Hi All,
To keep you in the loop, there's this conf in May
http://networkcultures.org/makingpublic/conference/
XPUB1:
It's part of a broader project (Maak het Publiek) and the current
special issue you're working on received a bit of support from this
project, which is why André is able to spend a couple more days with you
all this trimester. We also discussed to have the outcome of the current
special issue presented at the conference, with either Manetta or Roel
(or both) and some XPUB staff. I think the conf will be interesting so
I suggest we should all go there anyway? XPUB would then cover train
tickets (independently from your €100,- travel/attendance budget that I
was mentioning in a previous email).
XPUB2:
There's a call for workshops:
http://networkcultures.org/makingpublic/2019/02/14/call-for-workshops-urg...
I think it could be relevant and super useful for some of you to submit
something and benefit from feedback/visibility at this conf. Some of the
themes resonate very strongly with your works. We'll cover travel and
extra expenses if they can't be provided by the conf.
Please keep Leslie and I posted if you intend to submit something!
(deadline is tomorrow but the application is *super* short, 200 words)
AUDIT OVERLAP:
As some of you know already, XPUB and LB are being audited this year
(regular national external audit, happens every 6-7 years, an
independent panel is assessing what we do and how we work in a
nutshell), and the audit is the same week as the conf. I will need some
of you (XPUB1 and XPUB2) to be around for this. However I believe there
won't be any overlap with the conf (Audit starts on Monday, finishes
Wednesday afternoon and conf starts Wednesday evening).
