Hopefully you had a good break and are enjoying some of the last days of
amazing weather in the Netherlands :)
I'm writing regarding the start of the year and the introduction week to
be more precise.
We start the year on the 10/09 and the first two days will be an
opportunity to meet and chat with the new first years, as well as
getting an overview of what to expect this year.
The programme for Monday 10/09 and Tuesday 11/09 is not entirely set
yet. But we think it would be nice if you could present to the new first
years (who BTW are not on this list yet) what you've done last year. It
does not have to be very formal, but showing the different projects and
sharing some insights about the special issues and the course in general
would be very useful. At the same time this could be an opportunity to
share your early ideas/intentions about what you will be doing for your
graduation research and project.
I can start drafting a small outline for the two days, but let me know
if there is also something else you would think would be a good thing to
do all together. For instance, I'd like to keep the show and tell as
well as a way to break the ice and start to get to know each other.
Last but not least, if you would like to re-arrange the studio and claim
some space, now would be a good time!
I would like to have the schedule for the intro week ready by the end of
Alchorisma alludes to the relationships between algorithms, charisma, rhythm, alchemy and karma. Alchorisma is a Constant worksession which looks at integrating cosmogenetic views with the charisma surrounding technology. We look at ways to infect existing algorithmic models with positions that acknowledge the importance of co-existence with non-human entities.
The Alchorisma worksession takes place from *2 -> 8 December 2018* at Z33, House for Contemporary Art in Hasselt, Belgium. Working language is English.
Constant’s worksessions are intensive transdisciplinary sessions organised twice a year. We create a temporary working environment where participants from different backgrounds come together to develop projects and research ideas. We prefer to use Free, Libre and Open Source software and data available under open licenses.
