I think it's a corking idea and will probably do really well with the
subset of folk who think/care about ownership of thei social media
posts/content/data. But there will be the usual issue of huge inertia
amongst the vast majority of the userbases of Facebook/Twitter etc, so as a
result it will probably see limited take-up amongst the wider population
who just want to post stuff with the minumum amount of friction. This is of
course barring some large scale black swan event which drives folk away
from the big social networks for some reason.
Google plus will remain unaffected.
