Hope you do not mind I reply with the list in CC because everyone is going
to suffer from the same issue.
The new mailman is completely modular and the server side software that
processes the email is a distinct project from the mail archives and web
interface. It seems that when a list owner mass subscribe users, they do
not get an account for hyperkitty.
What I did for myself was to create a new account on hyperkitty but using
the *same* email address used in the lists already created. And then it
seems to automagically work out. That said, I'm not entirely sure if using
the same email address is necessary, I think I saw an option where you can
manage several identities, which is definitively handy and makes sense.
It's all new, if you find out interesting things let us know!
