I migrated the old group to our new mailing list system:
You should have just received a rather unhelpful welcome message,
sorry about that. The message you *should* have received is below.
The important thing is, from now on you will need to send emails to
bibliotecha(a)we.lurk.org (and not the old @group.lurk.org) in order for
them to find their way to the list/forum.
You're subscribed here because you once subscribed to the old list
(http://lurk.org/groups/bibliotecha/). That one has been retired, let
the discussion continue here. Ok here's what you need to know:
Welcome to the bibliotecha forum!
Bibliotecha is a framework to facilitate the local distribution of
digital publications within a small community. It relies on a
microcomputer running open-source software to serve books over a local
wifi hotspot. Using the browser to connect to the library one can
retrieve or donate texts. Bibliotecha proposes an alternative model of
distribution of digital texts that allows specific communities to form
and share their own collections.
You can send messages to the forum via email, by emailing
bibliotecha(a)we.lurk.org. Replying to a message you receive from the
group will be sent to the email sender only, don't forget to group-reply
or reply-to-all if your response is for the whole list.
You can also browse past discussion threads, and also reply to them
and make new ones, on the 'hyperkitty' web interface:
You can access your settings via 'postorius':
Please note: To use either web interface, you may need to make a new
login if you don't already have one. If so, you'll need to use the
same email address that you are subscribed with.
(Note: we currently suffer from a bug that prevent login on postorius if
you registered the account with an email address, however if you
registered via Twitter, GitLab, etc, it's fine. It will be fixed soon)
