2019.
The idea is to have a meeting time from 19:00 to 22:00, dedicated to the
Algorave culture and philosophy, and then play Audio and Visuals till late.

Algorave Roma wants to join the philosophy of Algorave and bring it to
Rome-based creative coders, hackers and ravers. It wants to expand the
experience by adding the visuals to the concept in connection to LPM that
has a long-standing tradition of live coded visuals.
Algorave is a colourful spectacle of experiments where tracks for the rave
are built by live coding right in front of the audience. Since 2012
Algorave has become a world-wide movement, a meeting point of hacker
philosophy, geek culture and clubbing. Algoraves showcase a range of
styles, including a complex form of minimal techno.
The first test in Rome was made in June 2018, during the XIX Edition of LPM
when a full day of the meeting was dedicated to Algorave - let’s consider
it an Algorave Beta.
LPM collective and AMEN Crew has joined the forces together again and is
announcing a proper Algorave on the 28th of March 2019 in the space of Spin
Time Labs. The idea is to start off with a meeting, and finish with a
series of live algorithm-generated music and visuals.
We are excited to announce that this year’s XX Edition of LPM, returning to
MATTATOIO in May will also host an Algorave!
