My name is Grant and I used to be on the old puredyne list and then 80c up until 2016, but something happened and I must have missed it. I haven't been in the loop for several years now! I just discovered the list still exists and has a bit of activity. I've spent a bit of time away from electronic creativity, but now I make my living as a programmer and its been creeping back. Lately I've been reading the new Curtis Roads book "Composing Electronic Music" and have been inspired again to dabble a bit again.
From someone who hasn't been around much, it sort of feels like the FLOSS creative world has "died down", I'm not sure if that is actually true, but many of the projects I'm aware of seem quiet. I may just have a different perspective as a developer who has been conditioned to expect regular software updates, but I'm curious about the state of things in 2020.
Anyhow, I'm not sure what I'm really here to say or ask, but wanted to get back in the loop. Thanks for keeping the list alive!
